3D Printing project using Tinkercad in 8th grade math class.

Help me give my students the opportunity to learn how to use Tinkercad free 3D printing program using PLA Filament and our current 3D printer.

My Project

The use of Tinkercad and 3D printing will make our 8th grade math class fun. In 8th grade algebra 1 students are always excited to do a project. This year's project will be STEM related with designing and printing 3D models. In math students work on linear measurement and volume. Combining these skills with learning about CAD design will enhance the students learning. Students will learn how to use a free online program called Tinkercad to build a 3D model on their Chromebooks. Using our existing 3D printers students will learn how to save their 3D models as a printable project. We are in need of the PLA filament to build our models. Students will learn valuable skills of measurement and design from this project.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
