My Project
With 3D printers in class, we will be able to offer a more diverse curriculum. The students already use Tinkercad, and with printers, they could then design things specifically to print.
I would like to incorporate a windmill blade project into my curriculum, The students would 3D print blades that would be as small as possible, and pick up the heaviest loads in the least amount of time.
Afterschool STEM will work on creating new original blade designs that would be more appealing in an urban setting.
The 3D printing will help prepare the students for my advanced engineering processes in the High School program. The afterschool programs for STEM Robotics would also benefit from the 3D printers.
