3D Printer in My English Classrooms for Class of 2027
Help me give my students a 3D printer, to print artifacts from time periods in novels, setting and character projects, in a way that students are making work in 2023, and being exposed to new and emerging technologies.

My Project
My students try hard in the classroom, despite some facing a lot of adversity already in their young lives. Many are dealing with problems that come with rural poverty, family addiction, race and class struggles, being overloaded by media and overstimulated by the constant stream of social media and judgement.
I would like for my students to have a chance to be makers and creators in 2023.
Using new technology that most or all have not had the chance to explore, will bring the curriculum to life. We plan on virtually exploring places in the stories we are reading, and a 3D printer would be another way to bring those places and characters into our world, and not just on a paper or a screen.
Since 3D printing is widely used in STEM fields, it would give the students a chance to have used the technology so that when it is available in college, it won't be their first exposure, and they won't be made to feel like they know less than a student who had more advantages growing up.
