My Project
In my STEM Lab, my students have been using CAD software to create 3D models to print on a 3D printer. The printer that I have access to has a very small build volume which is a significant limiting factor in my student's design process.
With this printer, I will be able to print their projects without having to cut off pieces so they can make full-sized prototypes, models, and manipulatives!
One example is that students are using Arduino and ESP32 hardware to create custom gamepads. Through the engineering design process, they are trying to develop ergonomic gamepads that a customer/client will actually use. These gamepad designs are severely limited to the small, and often out-of-order printer I have access to.
