This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a STEM teacher, my students have been greatly impacted by the pandemic. The pandemic has caused a loss in hands on projects and learning that the students need in order to develop higher level thinking skills. In developing a maker space and obtaining important equipment, students will have access to design, build, and print projects. They will be able to utilize the engineering process to complete prototypes and see how the iteration process works in the real world. Having access to 3D printers will allow them to proof concepts and work on problem solving.

Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
