Help me give my students the opportunity to 3D print in my classroom!
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Cho's classroom raised $308

My Students
There are over 500 students at my school this year and will each be coming into my classroom, the STEAM lab, once a week to learn engineering and design, computer science and robotics/automation concepts through project-based learning opportunities! These students of diverse backgrounds range all the way from 1st to 5th grade. Students are in charge of their learning when they enter the lab; they assign roles, set goals, and make sure each group member has a role to contribute to the solution to the problem or project.
The focus of our school and district is on equity, giving all our students the opportunity to experience authentic, engaging and hands-on learning experiences that connect to their world.
My Project
More and more companies and manufacturers today are embracing and adopting 3D printers for its cost-effective testing and prototyping features. I would love to give my students the opportunity to start developing the necessary skills of design and prototyping in addition to the creative and critical thinking skills that will help prepare them for the future.
By donating to our project, you will ultimately be helping in providing an authentic and hands-on learning experience that would foster a variety of technical and soft skills in students that they can use for future careers.
Even more so, having a 3D printer could lead to a stronger development of empathy for each child as they learn to prototype solutions that could help solve problems they see in their community or world!
