This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
For my STEM students, I have seen a genuine lack of problem-solving skills resulting from the pandemic. We lost the ability to design and create projects in person and practice the engineering process. In the classroom, students can greatly benefit from practicing iteration by designing and testing products. These resources can help advance student learning by providing hands-on opportunities to practice problem-solving skills. The skills used and practiced in my class were sorely missing during the pandemic and could not be easily replicated for students when they were at home. Putting a focus back on these skills should help students improve this learning gap caused by the pandemic.
