My Project
A classroom library that is stimulating and broad by genre will give my students the stimulation needed to excel academically. In my class there is a vast amount of reading interest and a library that captures most of them will be very instrumental in their academic growth. Allowing my students access to novels that are interesting to them will increase their stamina for reading. The more they read the greater their chances for academic success.
My students have a desire to learn and if given the opportunity and tools, they will thrive in school.
During small group instruction the novels will assist in maintaining independence. Students will have the chance to read something that arouses as well as having discourse with their peers to maintain focus in the small intimate groups. The novels will also be used within the recreational settings for the students that enjoy reading. If the students are interested in the novel, they are more likely to accept the assistance needed for academic growth.
