This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are attending our school in Mansfield. The focus of our school is to prepare the students for either going to a college or into a career after high school.
My students are eager to learn the concepts being taught this year.
In middle school, we are increasing the topics being taught. Having some extra motivation hopefully helps to increase their retention of knowledge and helps them to exceed expectations this year.
My Project
My inspiration for my project comes from the winning project "3-D Printer Needed for Community Service Project." Learning how to 3-D print will be an amazing opportunity for my students. We were able to get one from a previous project but now we lack the technology for students to be able to code their 3-D printer at school.
A Mac Book Air has so many technology capabilities that will allow my students to have access to programs not only to 3-D print but delve deeper into science.
From the If/Then collection, I have found the "Mission Unstoppable: If/Then 3D Statue Exhibit" more possibilities for my students to delve deeper into the world of 3-D printing and encourage them to bring our science concepts to life! Also from the video, "Human Cell Images Turned into Fashion Pieces with Molecular Biologist Beata Mierzwa, Curiosity Camp." Bring an abstract concept to life can inspire the next generation of scientists to discover the next great discovery!
