My students need to be expose to the latest technology in 3D printing system and CAD design through their own CAD design. Students will learn the basic 2D design to 3D model in CAD.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from one of the poorest and most violent cities in the country.

Every day they strive to broaden their horizons and reach for the stars.

For many, school is the only safe haven they know. I work to teach them that there is a bigger world out there than the one they see every day, that they matter, and that they will always have a safe place to explore the world around them in our classroom and school.

My Project

STEM, students will be able to see and feel own creation from CAD. Students will understand why it is important to know measurement and volume of an object before 3-D printing. Students will longer have just a blue print of a design, students will be able to hold in their hands the actual physical object of their own imagination.

Students must become creative in order to compete in the Robotic world.

3D printing or additive manufacturing is a process of making three dimensional solid objects from a digital file. The creation of a 3D printed object is achieved using additive processes. In an additive process an object is created by laying down successive layers of material until the object is created.
