This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Challenging eager learners through STEM! Our school is filled with energetic Title I learners. As a math teacher, I would like to turn my students into lifelong learners through STEM. My students learn through discovery and self-exploration.
Our students are eager learners who enjoy challenging lessons in STEM and the arts.
We proudly provide our scholars with a strong academic program that includes project-based learning, use of technology in the classroom, digital learning, various reading incentive programs, and learning platforms tailored to each student's academic needs and aspirations.
My Project
Our students will be introduced to three dimensional printing through the use of creating geometry shapes with a 3-D printer. Scholars will also research 3-D printing and coding careers. As we continue to study geometry unit, we will supplement with a literacy component.
We will blend coding, literacy, math and technology to offer a cross-curricular STEM lesson.
We will add a literacy component to our activity. Excerpts from the books provided will offer our learners an opportunity to learn more about 3-D printing and future technology careers. Students will complete the project by presenting a summary of learned information through a Power Point presentation. This will offer our learners a self-discovery opportunity that reaches all level learners.
