Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Both rocket launcher kits will no doubt get the students buzzing around the classroom before the launch date. Students can get excited about science by fully immersing themselves in these rocket kits.
I don't know of any student who would not like to send something up 100's of feet into the air with compressed air and water.
The competition that will result will no doubt raise the engagement level of my students because no one likes to lose. The competition will drive students to dig deeper into the science of aerodynamics and rocket launches.
My goal is for students to dive into STEM through the design process by identifying their problems, brainstorming possible solutions, develop a plan for a solution, create and build a prototype to test and evaluate, and finally share the results.
