2nd Screen Kindergarten Smiles

Help me give my students improved remote learning through the use of an ASUS LED monitor. I can engage them on one screen and observe their status on the ASUS monitor.

My Students

I teach a fun-loving group of Kindergarten students. We began the year together in school face to face, and then because of the pandemic... we had to abruptly pivot to remote learning. This was a struggle for many students and for me too. I had a difficult time keeping track of my students and delivering lessons all on one screen.

Other staff members had access to a second screen and this changed the teaching dramatically.

They were able to see their students while teaching the lessons, and could answer questions and address issues immediately. Having only one screen does not assist in this.

My students deserve a remote learning environment where their teacher is able to provide attention and lessons simultaneously.

My Project

Pandemic learning has been a struggle for my students. It doesn't help when I have to engage with them using the tiny district provided laptop. Many times they have to wait as I toggle between the desktop, Zoom, and other application screens.

A second screen allows me to keep my cherubs on the larger monitor while I keep the course content on the district provided laptop.

I can quickly see raised hands and address other issues as they arise. The larger monitor allows me to see better the students' visual cues to ascertain their understanding of the material, something I normally do in person.
