My students need playground tools to "Sharpen the Saw" during their Learning Breaks!
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Bates's classroom raised $504
This project is fully funded
My Students
I teach 2nd grade at an academy in Idaho. Families pursue our school based on our emphasis in STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The students in my classroom are very passionate about science and inquiry based learning.
By nature, they are hands-on learners--always wondering and investigating the world around them!
It is important to keep them continually engaged in their environment, asking questions, seeking out answers, and sharing the new knowledge they acquire through a process we call "The WISE Way."
My Project
We would love to have more playground tools to share amongst all second graders, in order to synergize and build community at Learning Breaks. We have two breaks that we look forward to throughout our day--one is between morning academic blocks, and the other is in between the afternoon blocks.
While we have an intense focus on academics at our academy, we realize the importance of "Sharpening the Saw: I take care of my body by staying active and exercising.
I balance my time between school, extracurricular activities, family, and friends. I am always learning how to be a better person."
