This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are young, active, and eager to learn. This school year is like no other. We are 100% distance learning. Zoom is the new classroom.
The majority of my students are English language learners and our school is 100% free breakfast and lunch.
I want to help provide the resources for them to have the best possible learning while distance learning.
My Project
My students are currently distance learning for their second-grade career. I am dedicated to helping ensure that they have hands-on appropriate materials even during distance learning.
Having writing boards and hands-on math manipulatives will make our zoom sessions much more engaging and lead to better learning opportunities for my students.
I also think it is crucial for their development to have hands-on materials, not solely have their schooling be on an online platform. Helping provide these resources will mean a great deal to myself and my students. They are so eager to learn and reach for more.
