This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 2nd graders are curious individuals! They are hardworking, helpful, active, and are headed full-speed into their future. They are enthralled with learning, and want to explore their world. Everywhere they look, technology is booming! Freeway advertising signs, the Cardinals stadium, their Smartboard in the classroom...we need to keep up!

Even though they go to school in a small town, they have huge dreams to live up to!

Drugs and poverty are common in their neighborhood and their families, but they are determined to grow and get a good education. That starts with teachers supplying the resources they need to advance forward. We need technology to aid in keeping up with the changing world.

My Project

I am looking to supply my classroom with a student laptop. As of today, we share our laptop cart with the rest of the 2nd grade classrooms (3 others). That isn't enough for my kiddos! Most of my students and parents do not have a computer or internet at home. We research, read online, and grow our vocabulary using my teacher laptop, but it could get so much easier to access information throughout the day with a laptop for my treasures to use (especially since my laptop freezes routinely)! The student PC we have runs very slowly, even after updates from our technology department!

Help my students reach their potential by supplying them with a classroom laptop to become global thinkers, scientists, and writers!

Their education will help guide them into different careers that will require them to use technology. My Title I students need your support to learn the skills they need for their future!
