My Project
Our 2nd graders love hands-on learning. We are in need of hands-on activities that help students understand what animals' basic needs are. This lesson is important because students learn that animals are classified into groups depending on their characteristics.
Many of our students are interested in careers that involve science and the study of animals.
We want to help provide extra learning opportunities for our 2nd grade students, so they can be career ready. Supporting children in their growing awareness and interest in animals can lead to deeper feelings of empathy in young children, more positive classroom relationships, and prepare them for their future careers.
