This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This is going to be my first year in 2nd Grade. I want my students to love walking into their classroom. I want learning to be fun and inviting. First, is my classroom decor setup to look like a tropical paradise. This way the students can be constantly in paradise while learning all their standards. Next, I wanted to take my classroom a step further this year and set up a reading/self care corner. This is where my couch and rug will go with books and relaxing coloring books. Sometimes school can be intense and transitions can be hard. This will help my students calm themselves while doing what they enjoy. Finally, I really want my class to feel like the beach hotel, vacation! A place that they always want to be. I want my class to be a community/family.
I hope to make this year bright and adventurous.
