Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 2nd grade students have been without a full-time teacher until last month. Because of this, many essential supplies normally in a 2nd grade classroom are missing.

These essential supplies include:

Timer: Right now I have to use my phone and the students can't see the time counting (important for math skill building and for time management).

Headphones: We are short headphones so we have to borrow from other classes. The ones we do have break a lot - at least a few per week.

Headphone Organizer: Not having this tool contributes to headphones breaking more often.

Hand-in Trays: Students are turning in classwork on an empty desk or a cardboard top.

STEM activities: Engaging tools such as a terrarium kit, engineer-a-coaster, cards, and games.

Organizing: Paper station, stapler remover, chime, and cleaning supplies.

Standing Teacher Desk: Gives me mobility to project lessons and help with differentiated tasks.

Snacks: Healthy snacks are essential for student success!
