This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have students from all nationalities, economical status, and learning needs. I try to provide each and every one of them with the love of learning. I engage them and allow them to submerge in using the multiple intelligence theory. I allow them to freely explore using their inquisitive minds to investigate, observe and find Tthe best response or solutions.
Technology to me is a key -component to a world of critical thinking, opportunities, imagination, and creative thinking.
This project will provide an opportunity to use 21st century technology that allows them to focus and perform at their individual best! Students are diverse and so are their needs, but at the end of the day it's the opportunities and tools that are given that open a world of divergent opportunities for them!
My Project
Students visit diverse learning centers during our reading/language time frame. The reading/listening technology at our school is very old. The new online stories require more GB and technology systems. This year my students have no access to live stories that provide re-enforcement with reading skills and language. I have a few ELL students which will benefit from emerging in English through visual and auditory exposure. They will learn new High-Frequency words, vocabulary and sentence structure. All the students will be able to use the multisensory technology to identify the genre, problems and solutions, characters, and key details that re-enforce what we learn daily in class. Many of my students do not experience this at home and I am sure they will enjoy the possibility at school of a new means of experiencing stories at their reading levels.
