This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are beginning first grade this school year. They ended last school year through distance learning. They come from all backgrounds and are from a low socio-economic community. Most of them have been in school together since ETK. They are happy kids who are eager to learn, talk to each other, and grow!
My Project
We need an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil for our distance learning classroom.
Having the necessary tools to teach my students during distance learning will make teaching and learning more effective.
This will help with using wireless projection and being more engaging during whole group and small group instruction time. This will also help to make video lessons for online teaching, to make remote teaching more interactive, show student work, and keep my students engaged!! Students will be able to focus on academics and not be distracted by tech that does not work. In this 21st century technology literate world, having updated technology will increase student literacy as well as their desire to learn more about using technology to learn and teach each other as well!
