Our students attend a magnet, arts-based high school in a severely underfunded urban district.
Our small school focuses on building meaningful relationships with each other, our art, and our academics. Students are encouraged to explore the world through many different lenses including our core values of imagination, communication, empathy, perspective, analysis, and commitment.
My Project
These computers will work double-duty. For half the day, they will be used by theatre students as they hone the craft of playwrighting. They will use this technology for the research needed to write their plays, to draft and revise original work, and give each other thoughtful and constructive feedback. These computers will also be used by seniors engaged in their final capstone projects. Students design and implement a long-term project that reflects their interests and academic or artistic expertise.
Access to technology will encourage our students to seek and find the information they need to succeed in a 21st century classroom as citizens and collaborators.
These portable devices allow students to take the technology to where ever they happen to be learning and exploring. Your donation will mean that students can learn with and through technology whenever they need to.
