Help me give my students basic school supplies and tools to help them compete with the new math curriculum for the schoolyear. This curriculum focuses on conceptual learning and students will have to show what they know.

My Students
My class has 25 6th graders from diverse ethnic groups with cultures from African-American to Yemen. More than 3/4 of my students are from low income, single-family homes. I love that although it's an inner-city neighborhood in East NY Brooklyn with many latchkey kids when they work together they are like a school of fish. They enjoy sharing ideas and helping one another. Quite a few kids enjoy taking on the role of teacher for the day. My Students are very motivated and enthusiastic, bringing their smile daily despite the fact that many are Title I kids that cannot afford even basic materials that allow for excellence in learning. My students are willing and enthusiastic but need help to prepare themselves for the year ahead.
My Project
These materials will be used to help students showcase their skills and ability. Students will be able to show various methods to ratios, equations, and word problems. My kids will use the whiteboard materials to share and discuss learning in a fun way that promotes participation and autonomy. Having these supplies puts my kids on the right track to success to tackle the new math. Many of my students have the intention to perform well and kid friendly motivators will help me to differentiate how they approach a problem. Intention is not the issue but " Proper Preparations Prevents Poor Performance."
