Help me give my students the opportunity to experience 21st century learning with their needs in mind. My special education students regularly use additional equipment to access their supports and accommodations alongside technology.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Investing in wireless equipment isn’t enough. I have purchased a number of wired and USB wireless mouses and have only had 100% success with Bluetooth mouses. My special education students with various disability need Bluetooth technology to be able to participate in lessons that push their learning beyond their goals. My classroom sets the tone for high expectations and how technology can level the playing field for students who have IEPs. Our class already participated in Bluetooth technology using the students 1 to 1 laptops and headphones. Many students never get to experience comfortable and accessible technology that benefits could benefit them in their futures beyond school.
