it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My high School is a public 4 year high school is on the northwest side of Chicago. Albany Park is one of the most ethnically diverse neighborhoods in the United States. This diversity is reflected in my classroom.
The students in my classroom are from all parts of the world and bring a wealth of cultural experiences and awareness that enriches the lives of their peers as well as my own.
It is a privilege to work with my students and therefore I want to provide them with the best possible science education possible.
My Project
Bringing technology into the classroom is the best way to provide a 21st century learning environment. Currently we do not have any Chromebooks allocated for the science department in our school. This puts my students at a disadvantage because Chromebooks boost students’ opportunities to learn anytime and anywhere. Online access in classrooms significantly broadens the scope of any learning exercise, critical thinking, creative thinking, communication, and collaboration.
With Chromebooks, I will be able to differentiate more for students' interests, reading levels, skill reinforcement, or remediation efforts on an individual level.
Chromebooks will allow my students to work together while completing group projects, reports, PowerPoints, and videos to reinforce their learning of the science content.
