Today's 21st Century learners need much more than a fuzzy red puppet to help them succeed. An Elmo Visual Presenter magnifies any object placed under its camera. With Elmo, classrooms come alive.
I teach second grade in a small town in the Midwest.
My classroom represents a diverse learning population: new language learners, special education students, academically gifted, and economically disadvantaged. Together we are a community of learners striving to bring out the best in each other.
My Project
This Elmo document camera when connected to the LCD projector in my classroom will allow all of my students to see and actively participate in a variety of lessons across the curriculum. Imagine 28 students watching a butterfly emerge from a chrysalis live on the big screen in full color. Sharing students’ published work will be exciting when our author’s chair is relocated next to the Elmo. Student authors will be able to project their stories so that everyone can see and appreciate the details in their text and illustrations. Science observations, storybooks, math lessons, graphs and charts, will suddenly become much clearer using the full color Elmo Presenter.
With your support my second graders will interact with technology on a daily basis.
The Elmo Document Presenter will facilitate learning in my small town American classroom for years to come, preparing my students for the high tech world in which we live.
