My students need 3 computers to help improve literacy and math skills. We need chart tablets to record group work and create classroom posters to reference to when needed.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Every morning we start the day by reciting The Pledge of Alliance as well as a class pledge. We begin our daily routines of reading, writing instruction.
I would like my students to master all the necessary skills needed.
My students come for low-income homes where they do not have computers or PCs.
They enjoy going to the computer lab, but we only go to the computer lab once a week. They are motivated to learn and love to use the one computer we have in the classroom.
My school is a High Needs school and SWP.
My Project
The computers will be used to allow the students to further practice and cultivate their reading, math and researching skills. They will learn how to safely learn how to navigate the Internet. We will also use it to engage parents by using the video cam to read books to the class.
We also need chart tablets to record group work and create classroom posters to reference to when needed.
Having the desired donations will improve the students reading, math, researching and technology skills.
It will also enable the students to be ready for the real life demands of the modern world that we live in. It will ultimately help them to follow the path of being college and career ready.
I thank all donators in advance for their generous support.
