This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We all learn differently! Right now my classroom is not technically equipped to support every modality of learning.
My third grade charter school classroom is made up of very economically disadvantaged, eager to learn students who have documented/undocumented learning disabilities and well as English language learners.
Our school budget has been stretched and we have no technology or board space for that matter in our classroom. I rely on guided lessons to allow kids to see everything that is being taught as well as participate. A document camera, cart, extender and magnifying lens are crucial for my students' learning. Our 21st century students deserve a 21st century education!
My Project
I will be using this document camera for every subject I teach to project materials used for modeling lessons. My students will use our class document camera, magnifying lens, height extender and camera cart to follow lessons, present their work, and participate in the learning. Children love to come and write the information being shared. These items will help the children who cannot see.
This donation will improve the quality of learning in my classroom by connecting the audio and visual learning experience.
My students will grow more confident in their learning by having an opportunity to share their work in a way that allows for all of us to see.
