Help me give my students the 2026 Illinois Monarch Award nominee books to instill a love of reading and expose them to varied fiction and informational texts.
Our kindergarten through third-grade students enjoyed reading the 2024 and 2025 Illinois Monarch Award books.
The books on the 2026 Illinois Monarch Award Nominee list will expose our students to fiction and informational texts from a variety of authors and engage students in reading for pleasure and learning.
These books will first be used for whole-class storytimes and will then be available for students to check out and read at home or in their classroom. Because we share the experience of reading them together, these books are always a hit.
