Dear potential donors,
I am reaching out to you with an exciting initiative aimed at celebrating the incredible achievements of our seniors here at Gretna High School, specifically funding the grand prizes for their Decision Day.
As the College and Career Adviser, I am deeply committed to ensuring that every student feels empowered as they embark on their post-secondary journeys. Decision Day is a special event we are organizing to honor graduating seniors and their plans after high school, whether it be college, the military, the workforce, or anything in between. With your generous contributions, we aim to host an unforgettable day filled with music, games, and these large prizes to recognize their hard work and dedication.
Located in rural Pittsylvania County, Virginia, our school serves a diverse community of students, many of whom face financial challenges. This year's senior class comprises approximately 140 students. Approximately half of the students are college-bound, with majority of them being the first in their families to attend college. For some, they will be the first in their family to graduate high school. Therefore, we are seeking your support to provide essential dorm room supplies and technology that many of our students may not otherwise afford. Your contribution will not only make Decision Day a memorable occasion for our seniors but also ensure that they have necessities to thrive as they embark on their educational journeys.
