My Project
We are ready to take on the 2023-2024 First LEGO League Challenge Masterpiece! They had a successful rookie season last year and are very excited to start working on next season's challenges. Our team is made up of middle schoolers who dedicate hours of after-school work to preparing for competition. This small and close-knit group of individuals trains to become stronger engineers and they learn how to set aside their differences to ensure that the team succeeds as one. As one of their coaches, I am amazed at how First LEGO League inspires students to realize skills and friendships that they never would have imagined on their own.
As the team worked through their rookie year, they found that they needed more LEGO robotics parts than the school had available for them.
When building attachments, they were constantly in need of expansion parts, but the team did not have them. Having access to parts that they can use to build their creative solutions to challenges will help give them more time to troubleshoot before competition. Also, they needed several extra hubs to work on programming, but extras were not available. As new members join the team this year, they will need the extra hubs to practice building and programming robots. The donation of several expansion sets and programmable hubs will be a huge step forward in helping this young team be successful this upcoming year!
