This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The Class of 2021 members are amazing, talented young adults!
Many teachers will say that their students are the best.
However, none surpass the group of students that make up the Class of 2021. These young men and women are not only ambitious but also very considerate and responsible.
Talented, creative, and eager to do better each day, my students are the best! They demand better of themselves and encourage their peers to do the same with every new challenge. They have found a way to adapt to the changes created by COVID and I know they will continue to be successful young adults after graduation. I feel so proud to be their teacher/ class sponsor for the last 4 years.
My Project
Our Project Graduation 2021 is an all-night drug-free and alcohol-free party for all our graduating seniors on graduation night. The cost to attend is FREE for all graduating seniors! The project graduation committee is made up of teachers and parents who plan the event.
This is a national effort to keep seniors safe and off the streets on graduation night.
Due to COVID, we are unsure of whether we will have the event "in person" or virtually at this point but we are going to make sure it is extra special for our seniors. Every attending senior is guaranteed a parting gift and will also be eligible to win other fabulous prizes! Comfortable chairs are important items needed by college students whether they are living in the dorm or in an apartment. If they are comfortable, they can focus on their academics better. The google chrome cast and google nest will also bring comfort to the students since they will be able to listen to relaxing music and they study.
Our seniors have attended Project Graduation events for more than 10 years. In recent years, over 70% of graduating seniors attended their project graduation event, and those who attended had a great time!
