This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This is a special request for my Senior Students who will graduate this year. Their senior year has not been traditional by any means so we want to make their project graduation event extra special!
The Class of 2021 members are amazing, talented young adults!
Many teachers will say that their students are the best. However, none surpass the the group of students that make up the Class of 2021. These young men and women are not only ambitious but also very considerate and responsible.
Talented, creative, and eager to do better each day, my students are the best! They demand better of themselves and encourage their peers to do the same with every new challenge. They have found a way to adapt to the changes created by COVID and I know they will continue to be successful young adults after graduation. I feel so proud to be their teacher/ class sponsor for the last 4 years.
My Project
AHS Project Graduation 2021 is an all-night drug-free and alcohol-free party for all Academy graduating seniors on graduation night. Cost to attend is FREE for all graduating seniors! The project graduation committee is made up of teachers and parents who plan the event.
This is a national effort to keep seniors safe and off the streets on graduation night.
Due to COVID, we are unsure of whether we will have the event "in person" or virtually at this point but we are going to make sure it is extra special for our seniors. Every attending senior is guaranteed a parting gift and will also be eligible to win other fabulous prizes!
AHS seniors have attended Project Graduation events for more than 10 years. In recent years, over 70% of AHS graduating seniors attended their project graduation event, and those who attended had a great time!
