My Students

I work at a fabulous school located in Chesapeake, Va. It is a Title I school that offers students the ability to get ahead of their peers. My students are growing and learning just like I am as a teacher. We are a great team that is focused on what makes learning fun. My students are a gift each year and that's what makes school exciting! Giving the children all that they need is so important to their development. The resources that I'm asking for will further their education and experiences.

My Project

These materials will benefit my students learning and help them to develop into successful learners.

The following materials are needed in order to help make our school year smooth and meaningful.

The 30 Qt. black durable expanding folding crate on wheels will be used to take our library books back and forth to the library on a weekly basis. The 100 sight word mini-books and the "100 Write-and-Learn Sight Word Practice Pages" will be used to enhance and build their word knowledge, which is necessary in order to become a better reader. The pencil grippers are useful for the students who hold a pencil the wrong way or have not been taught how to hold a pencil the correct way. Also, it will help them with their handwriting. The construction paper is always a necessary material in the classroom. We use it for art, math, writing, etc. An example of this, is when we make our fraction papers and write down each fraction on the paper. It is a simple make and take that the students remember. The "What do you Stand For Character Building Card Game" is a fun way to learn character education in the classroom. The "Teacher Created Resources Polka Dots Word Wall Bulletin Board" is a decoration in the classroom that will be used as the word wall. This is a useful reference that my students use when they are writing or reading.
