My students need a classroom makeover! New whiteboards for small groups, new supply caddies for student tables, and soft seats and comfy pillows for seating options will promote learning and provide comfort for all my students!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come to school everyday excited to learn! They are inquisitive about the world around them. We strive to broaden their horizons and challenge their minds. We face many obstacles in our ICT classroom, from lack of classroom resources to wishing for those extra materials, that would take us to the next level in our educational journey, but we come together as a caring and responsible community, always mindful to respect each other.
We celebrate our differences while we learn and grow together.
My Project
This project is for various supplies that will give Vlass 5-238 the makeover it needs in 2018. They include tabletop whiteboard, supply caddies, soft seats and comfy pillows.
This makeover will allow my students to reach their full potential and achieve academic success.
These classroom supplies will be a fantastic and much needed addition to our learning environment.
Tabletop instructional whiteboards: these whiteboards are used to facilitate small group lessons. They help to easily conduct lessons anywhere in the classroom as they are portable and easy to set up.
Supply caddies: each table of students needs supply caddies to organize their pencils, erasers, highlighters, crayons, glue sticks, etc. When each table is organized instructional time in the classroom is maximized because all students have what they need at all times at their individual tables. This also improves transition time.
Large classroom timer: this is a necessity in any classroom. This timer is a visual reminder during transition times, math sprints, writing workshop and so much more!
Soft seats and comfy pillows: my students need differentiated seating options to support their learning, stamina and engagement. In my special needs classroom, these options will provide students with choice and increased engagemen. These seats will help create a classroom that is accessible to all students energy levels, seating preferences and fine and gross motor needs.
