My Students
I am the Pre-K physical therapist for a NYC public school. We have 4 regular pre-k classrooms and one special education class. I mostly work with the special education population (limited verbal expression with gross motor delays).
My students need durable items that will last many years to come.
My Project
I am a physical therapist working in a large inner-city elementary school in New York. The school recently started a pre-k and 3-k program, however we lack the appropriate equipment.
At the moment we only have 1 tricycle for 5 classes (3-k & pre-k grades)!
I'm looking to rectify this situation. I have requested two tricycles. It's a small start and they will need more, but I don't want to ask for too much because doing so would make it less likely for my project to get funded.
We do not have even a basic level of equipment for appropriate pre-k gross motor play.
