My Students
My students are always eager to learn and they want to be successful. Many of them grow up in single parent households or with a relative other than a parent. Due to the students’ economic background status, 100% of them receive free lunch. Despite the hardships the students may face, they are always ready to learn.
Although I can not control what goes on in their home life, I am able to ensure that they come to school with a welcoming environment.
They come to school with a smile on their face and love learning!
My Project
All of my students want to be able to sit with their peers at a small group table. Without a small group table, students will not be able to socially distance themselves adequately enough during these challenging times.
Kindergarteners love their time that they get to meet with their teacher in a small group or individual setting.
Without having a table that accommodates them, that is not going to be possible. At the table phonics instruction, guided reading, as well as math instruction are just some of the many ways in which we can use this resource! Along with the table, copy paper is something that is needed for kindergarten students as well as any student. Due to the unprecedented times, students need to have their own copy of materials such as centers work. Centers are used by students as a reinforcement of a lesson or material that has been previously learned. If we do not have paper, students will not be able to work on a center activity. The level of mastery that my students will reach with these two resources will be rewarding for me!
