Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We have some fantastic 1st graders who are moving on to be stellar 2nd graders, and I will be following them into their next year. This group of kids loves hands-on learning and have a large range of academic needs. Our school is a Title I school which means many of our students are eligible for free meals, academic support, and a free before and after school program.

I want my classroom to be a space that has all of the resources we need to support our growth and development.

This will be my first year and my first classroom so I am starting this project to get the essentials for our classroom. Social emotional learning is very important to building a classroom environment of love and respect. The books in this project and some of the other materials will help with this goal. Play-based learning is another important part of my teaching approach and the different games and centers will help make this a reality.
