Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a first grade ICT class; the students are integrated in a class with special education and general education students while having the benefit of two teachers, and the students are mixed in ability from below level to above level.

As my students build their skills in all subject areas, it is imperative that the students have access to various levels of resources, because "not all sizes fits all".

My Project

Our first grade students will use the their comprehension journals during independent reading time. They will use their writing and math journals during morning work. The students will enjoy using their math games during math centers and the specimen boxes during science discovery centers. Additionally the students will be able to use and charge their tablets during independent center time. During our class trips and classroom events the students will be thrilled to use the Polaroid camera.

By donating these materials to our class our students will improve their writing, reading comprehension and math skills.

They will also develop a great appreciation for science and the beauty of photography.
