My Students
As a school we challenge our scholars to dream big! We tell them that they can reach for the stars and be WHOEVER they want to be. They need interactive activities to do so. As a turnaround school it is hard to do that for them with such limited resources. Our scholars need help!
My scholars are one of a kind.
They are so sweet and eager to learn! Our school is in its second year of turnaround and determined to make sure ALL of our students attend college. My students live in a high poverty area and never let it deter them from striving to do their best! They work hard and they learn hard!
My Project
Science is a subject that has been highly neglected. As a school we are determined to make sure that our students are cultured in all subjects! One of my scholars' units is on Earth Science. It is so important to have hands on manipulatives to help my students visualize the curriculum that is being taught to them. Using the materials listed my students will be able to have an idea of what it is like to be a scientist. My students are always dreaming of what they would like to be and these activities can even inspire some of my students to become scientists when they grow up! My scientist are always eager to hear about the earth, and they would love to have materials to enrich their fascinations!
My scholars are so important to me.
Everyday I try and make their lives and learning as meaningful as possible. This project is a way for them to explore different aspects of the world that they would not be exposed to otherwise. Please be a part of the learning process that my little learners so desperately want to experience!
