My classroom is a place of learning! Students are constantly on the move, working independently, in groups, as a class, or with me. I am so excited to impart knowledge to my students and hope that they develop a life-long love of learning.
My students attend school in an urban area where most students receive free or reduced price school lunch.
The poverty level is high and many children struggle in their home lives. I try to create a comfortable atmosphere in my classroom where children feel safe and free to learn.
My Project
My students will use the carpet and mobile organizers daily. Our classroom has hardwood floors, and the carpet will create a warm comfy place where we can have group lessons, or they can relax with a good book or activity during centers. The mobile organizers will allow students to have a place where they can go to find materials that they need which will help them become more independent in getting their tasks done.
This project will help me create the comfortable, inviting classroom that my students need to allow them to focus on learning.
They will also be learning how to organize and take care of materials which is important in the classroom and in life.
