1st Grade Chick Hatching Real World Experiences!

Help me give my students a real world experience as we watch and learn the life cycle of chickens.

My Project

As a first grade we have the standard: living things and their offspring. Every spring, we hatch chicks to watch this amazing experience and let our students see something that happens daily in the real world. It is so fun for them to watch the process. We get to candle the eggs as they grow to see the different development of the chicks. We get to watch as they hatch and keep them for a couple weeks to make sure they are strong enough to go to their new homes.

This is such a fun experience for the teachers and students alike.

We got a few new teachers this year, so in order for the whole grade level to enjoy it, we need these last few supplies!
