My Students

I am a 7th Grade ELA Teacher. I teach a variety of educational levels, which inspire me to find the best opportunity for my students to learn and collaborate. Our students come from diverse backgrounds and many do not get the opportunity to experience the world outside of our hometown. All of my students are adventurous, compassionate, and courageous who deserve to have the best education. My goal is to provide them with the tools to succeed not only in school, but in the real world.

My Project

Blount County Schools will be having a 1READ for our community. Together, as a community, we want our students reading fascinating books that will grow their knowledge of the world around them. I want the opportunity for my students to receive their very own copy of the novel Refugee by Alan Gratz. I want them to have the ability to read at their own pace and on their own time. My students will have the opportunity to create projects and present them to the community. If they have their own book, they will be able to share their book with their family. In the end, it’s all about spreading the knowledge together.
