My students need counting materials to help them gain knowledge of what numbers are all about.

My Students
I want to change the world in my students eyes one number at a time. In this day it is very important that children are able to do math and read. They need to be able to know what 911 means in times of an emergency. To be able to tell someone their phone number if they are lost.
My students are a bunch of wonderful kids that enjoy learning.
The children get excited about learning but not having the means for them at home makes learning difficult. The school that my children attend is a Title 1 diverse school with exceptional children. It has more than 75% of the kids on free lunch so our kids are in a high poverty level.
My Project
The material that I would love to have from donors choose would help my kids learn about numbers. It would help them know what it means to count out 3 cookies, or learn the emergency number 911. I enjoy having the kids move around the room so with some of the bean bag we can enjoy them on a rainy day playing hot potato and when the music stops they identify the shape, number or letter. We can enjoy really playing who stole the cookie from the cookie jar by letting someone take a cookie counter out and then a student figuring out what number is missing. Please, help my students get counting materials to help them gain knowledge of what numbers are all about.
The difference these donation can make for my EC kids and my diverse kids is giving them a exciting way to learn.
Not having enough materials to help my children build their knowledge and for me to strengthen the foundation makes me sad. The world is hard enough but not having an education just makes it even harder. Parents are the first teachers and it is my duty to continue to build on what they have taught them. Learning can be fun and these materials will make it even more fun.
