Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are in need of books for independent reading. My classroom library is a place where students can read for leisure as well as for pleasure. It is a safe place to choose a book that interests them. All books in the library have been chosen at the students' request and with their interests in mind.

Your donations will help my students by giving them access to multicultural books that reflect diverse voices and experiences.

Students will be able to choose books that will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time. These books will allow students to practice reading and improve their current reading skills. The more practice a student receives in reading, the more they will improve their reading skills. Donating multicultural books to my classroom is a powerful way to support my students. These books help them see themselves in the stories they read and learn about the lives and experiences of others. With more diverse books, my students can feel valued, grow in empathy, and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them. Your support will help create a more inclusive and enriching learning environment for all of them.
