My Students
My students are energetic, creative and inquisitive kindergartners. They display an excitement to learn, discover and explore every day in many varied ways. They thrive with hands-on, fun and engaging activities. They come from many home environments, ranging from low socio-economic to more advantaged. While many of my students have been in a preschool or daycare, some of them have never had a school experience.
Regardless of where they come from, I want to provide them with the best possible year of fun and learning.
I want to incorporate engaging activities while they are learning, as well as develop necessary social skills. These children don't remember a time before Covid and their opportunity to be around other children has been severely affected. I want to help them learn how to socialize in a productive and kind way.
My Project
My students will use these games to practice counting and learning their numbers. The folder games will be wonderful to allow them some choice as well as being able to work with someone else to gain some needed social skills too. The locks will work on counting and matching numbers and fine motor skills at the same time! The Monster Math Balance Scale will be so much fun as we explore how two numbers combine to make a new number. I know that my students will love these engaging and fun math games!
