My students need chromebooks in order to connect with their peers, our class, and the world around them.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Garrett's classroom raised $290
This project is fully funded
My Students
Every day, we begin and end our day with a Do Now, asking their goals for the day and how they are arriving at school, and then how they felt their day went and if they met their goal. What would it be like if all students were able to take part in this activity? How would their potential grow?
My students are self contained special education students.
They are between the ages of 11 to 16 years old, and have ability levels that range from pre-k to 4th grade.
Our school is a 1:1 device school, meaning that students are given the opportunity to get a Chromebook to use in all of their classes.
My Project
Students will use the Chromebook to access Google Classroom, various web-based programs for academic practice, and google apps for education. Students will be able to work together to collaborate on various projects, learn the correct way to use technology resources, and conduct research on topics that interest them.
Not all of our students can afford to get a Chromebook.
Having one or two for the classroom will allow those students who can't afford their own have the same access and opportunities that other students have.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
