My students need fun activities to celebrate 100 days of learning!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. M.'s classroom raised $331

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Over 90% of our students receive free or reduced price lunch. While 40% of our students are considered English language learners, Spanish is the home language of 90% of our students. Many of our students are struggling readers, but work hard to reach their reading and math goals during the school year.
The students are excited, engaged, curious, hard workers and are eager to become better readers and mathematicians.
During math, we are problem solving and learning new methods for solving, while analyzing right and wrong answers. They are excited to learn new things and showcase what they've learned throughout the year!
My Project
Our mathematicians have been spending all school year learning about place value, problem solving, addition, subtraction and multiplication! They have become masters in the operations and critical thinking to become problem solvers through rich experiences using manipulatives and hands-on activities to reinforce their conceptual understanding.
To celebrate the first 100 days of learning and our students reaching their math goals, our grade team wants to host a Math Celebration for the 100th day of school!
To do this, we will showcase what our students have learned through a problem solving challenge, participating in math read alouds and demonstrating what they've learned throughout the year. Students will be excited to celebrate their learning goals and set more goals for next 100 days of school! To reinforce what is being done in the classroom and to engage families, we will inviting our parents to participate in activities and create additional learning opportunities at home.
These resources will make a huge impact on our students and their celebration of the 100th day of school. With treat bags, families will count 100 items by 2s, 5s and 10s and put them on display in the hallway for all to see! They will practice counting by tens and decorate posters of different groups, including pennies, paperclips, math manipulatives, cereal, goldfish, buttons and more! During our 100th day of school parade, kiddos will wear the crowns they decorated earlier in the day and share their goal for the next 100. In addition, we'll have a ton of interactive activities, facilitated by our upper grade students, for our students to make connections and learn from one another!
