Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students want to become "authors and illustrators" and they are working very hard on their books. They are putting effort into improving their handwriting and their drawings are colorful. That is as far as they can go on their own; it would be time for the teacher to become an editor and a publisher and proofread, scan, and print.
Our dream of publishing books would be completed with an economical printer that would facilitate authors signing books to their friends.
It would just be a matter of time to see how prolific these authors are.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
