Hands-on math materials are essential for students to gain a better understanding of number sense. In first grade, this concept can be challenging for many children. They need a variety of learning tools to aid in their learning.
Students can learn new math concepts with these manipulatives while keeping them engaged as they learn new topics.
I have chosen tools such as unifix cubes, linking chains, vehicle counters, math counters, and linking pipes (just to name a few) that will be used daily with each child. I have also included plastic containers for storage to allow for organizing these manipulatives.
